WIND DAMAGE 2005
On Friday 21 January 2005, Elsie Mundorf called Yvonne and myself in Corpus Christi, Texas and said that the roof of our mobile home was removed by very high winds. She said that a section of the roof was blown almost to Highway 20. The claims adjuster thought that the damage was due to a possible tornado. Joe Mundorf, cattle rancher, said that he would get together a group of rancher and Wood Lake residence to help remove what furniture and fixtures to the pole barn. It is a great feeling to have local residence and ranchers come to your rescue when you are about 1400 miles from your summer home. Yvonne and I express our gratitude to these residence that took time from their work to help in a time of emergency. Helping with this task were: Joe Mundorf organizing assistance, Elsie Mundorf, Chet Herron, Jim and Myki Van Winkle, Ken and Donna Marlatt, Mark Mundorf, Cort Dewing, Danny Cozad, Arch Ferguson, and Dustin Wheeler. Even though Wood Lake is a very small community, the cattle ranchers and residence of Wood Lake bond together to help when help is needed. We will be forever "humble" to each that assisted in this work. To veiw some of the damage just click on the above buttons to review our damaged mobile home.
