BIOGRAPHY
Claude L. Reyman
What a special day for two events to take place at the same time. It was October 29, 1934 these events took place. The first event took the country by surprise - "the Stock market crashed ushering in the Great Depression". The second event - a twinkle in my father's and mother's eye was their first special event on October 29, 1934. At 6.03 a.m. at the Ainsworth Hospital, Claude L. Reyman gave out his first loud cry. Bruce Sr. was 39 and mother 28 years old. Dr. A.G. Rasck provided his technical skills in this special event. The weather was around 39 degrees, a bit cool and brisk when I arrived (that is outside) not in the hospital! I am not sure what Bruce and Edith used to drive to the hospital as the first car that I remember was a 1938 four door Chrysler sedan. It was used for ranching and driving to town.
1934 was a special year in many ways. I think it would be appropriate to mention some of the events that took place that year, so a nostalgic look back in time "remembering when" 1934.
